01. Radio Host
Course duration is 3 months
Classes are taught twice a week, 2 hours each

Since the time of Howard Stern, a radio host is not just a voice from the transmitter. The host is an idol and a lord of the mind. According to Rolling Stone magazine, a profession of radio deejaying is among the top 10 professions in the world, which makes it equal to a movie actor and singer, leaving behind an oil business owner and a high-paid officer.

Today’s radio is in need for personalities, not anonymous ordinary voices.

After completing the course, you will be able to perform any role – a witty morning waker-upper, a sassy night owl or an evening show provocateur.

During this course:

• You will take elocution classes;
• You will become familiar with studio equipment;
• You will learn the skills of a DJ for different radio formats;
• You will learn how to host a radio show;
• You will learn how to create a program which reflects your individuality – how to choose a theme for your program, how to create a unique image and then your ‘voice attire’;
• You will learn the full process of generating commercials and programs – from the script to the sound;
• You will develop interviewer’s skills;
• You will know how to host news programs.

The last but not least:

• Two internships on Sok (Juice) youth radio station;
• Recording of 4 professional studio demos;
• Broadcasting internships on major national and international youth radio stations.

02. Sports host/commentator
Course duration:
If you take this course after completion of Radio Host Course, you will study for1 MONTH.
If you have not taken the Radio Host Course, this course will require 3 months of study to complete.
Classes are held twice a week, 2-hour classes

Fitness, soccer, hockey, marshal arts, fitness dance, stretching, sprint, tennis, basketball, swimming, horse riding, shooting, race, yoga. Which one speaks to you? Sports is a part of life. Ratings of sport channels and radio stations grows daily. We bet you know the names not only of the sportsmen but also of the sports journalists. Maybe you have your favorite sport commentator? Or, may be, you are born as a sports fan?

After completion of the Spots Host/Commentator Course you will be able to work as a host of sports news. Also, you will do signature sports reviews.

During this course:

• You will learn elocution;
• You will become familiar with studio equipment;
• You will learn the skills of the sports host;
• You will learn the skills of a sports news commentator;
• You will know how to create your own unique image or ‘signature’ program.

And last, but not least:

• Two broadcasting internships on youth radio station Sok (Juice);
• Recording of 4 professional studio demos;
• Broadcasting internships on the major youth national and international forums;
• Internships on news and music radio stations with sports news and programs.

03. News host
Course duration is 3 months
Classes are held twice a week, 2-hour classes

It is a habit in today’s contemporary world for citizens to start and finish the day with listening to the news. Truly, the habit is as strong as to brush one’s teeth. Upon waking, news is read in bed by many. News follows us on the car radio during the day. News on the radio is a content of trust as it is presented by professionals. Do you want to become one of those who is followed by millions? Loud news, explosive interviews, high-rating talk shows, analytical programs. News Host Course is designed for those who like it hot.

Reports and news are subject to strict rules, reliability of the sources of information and degrees of ‘staleness.’ You will be familiarized with the ‘bible’ of the news host that will be a theme of your first class at the School.

During this class:

• You will study elocution;
• You will study studio equipment;
• You will learn the profession of news program host;
• You will learn the profession of radio reporter;
• You will learn the profession of talk show host;
• You will acquire skills to create a signature program – from the choice of the theme and unique broadcast image to the creation of ‘voice attire’;
• You will learn the skills to create commercials and programs – from script to the sound.

The last but not least::

• Two broadcasting internships at youth radio station Sok (Juice);
• Recording of 4 professional studio demos;
• Broadcasting internships at the major youth national and international forums;
• Internships at news radio stations.

04. Kids School of Radio
Classes last for 2.5 months
Classes are held twice a week, 45 minutes each

Is your child between the ages of 7-16? Does s/he talk constantly, enjoy arguing and ask a lot of questions about everything? Or, maybe, vice versa, s/he is afraid of talking in public, does not do good at school because of this, has difficulty in thought expression or speaks using filler words and sounds?

We developed this unique program for children since one can be ready to be famous on the radio now, but another is just developing her/his skills. We place students into one or two groups––age or abilities. Kids and their parents are welcome to come for casting where applicants may demonstrate their skills or ask questions about the process and the results achieved by studying with us. Classes are usually held during weekends. Every student will speak live, on the air. All classes are game-like.

Even the youngest of students will be able to speak on the radio, to read for commercials and provide the voice narrative for games and animated movies; some even get paid! That is why the requirements to be on-time and to be disciplined are the same as for adult students.

During this class:

• You will practice speaking;
• You will practice acting;
• You will acquire skills of DJ for different formats;
• You will learn how to host a talk show;
• You will acquire skills to create news programs, top hits and signature programs;
• You will learn how to voice commercials.

And last but not least:

• Two broadcasting internships at youth radio station Sok (Juice);
• Recording of 4 professional studio demos.

05. School of Bloggers
Classes will last for 3 months
Classes are held twice a week, 1-hour each

It seems that it was just recently – in 2011, when a Swedish teenager PewDiePie started his YouTube channel. In 4 years, he had 50 million subscribers, with a 2017 income of $12 million.

PewDiePie became a pioneer of the era of video bloggers. Hundreds followed him at first, then thousands and then millions.

If your child or you yourself dream of becoming a famous video blogger, you cannot copy successful bloggers. Instead, you will have to create your own trend & image on YouTube.

How are you going to do this? One step to achieve this goal is to apply for admission to our School of Bloggers, the International School of Radio.

The School of Bloggers course started in 2017. Our goal is not only to teach students to film, edit and promote their content, but also to give them the opportunity to have a conversation with YouTube stars thru a radio platform. That is why every student who takes this course is able to be on the air with YouTube News and to conceive and publish a program about the life of video bloggers. This is an opportunity to develop your speech, rhetor skills, writing – all that is necessary to be a contemporary blogger.

During this class:

• You will learn to speak;
• You will learn to act;
• You will learn to write scripts for different channels and styles (sketches, lifestyle, theme channels, etc.);
• You will become familiar with camera and light work;
• You will acquire skills to use editing programs for PC and Mac;
• You will practice creating a personalized broadcasting image, and develop charisma;
• You will practice the basics of style, visage and professional transformational makeup;
• You will know how to do PR and promote your channel.

And last but not least:

• Master classes taught by famous bloggers;
• Broadcasting at youth radio station Sok (Juice);
• Participation in the biggest blogger festivals (if selected).

06. On-line Radio Station
Course duration is 1.5 months
Classes are held twice a week, 2-hour classes

Can you imagine your life without the Internet? Without radio? On-line radio stations grow in numbers with music that is hard to define, non-standard ideas and statements – there is a demand for these too. Do you want not only to listen but also to participate? Do you want to create what you believe in, instead of what a program director expects? Are you into creation of new music platforms or unique content? Do you want to be able to do it professionally?

Our On-line Radio Course is here for you. You will learn to create radio stations that are ready to go, to expand your audience and to generate profit.

During this course:

• You will learn how to create content for on-line radio station;
• You will know how to create ‘voice attire’ and style;
• You will know how to create music base;
• You will know how to position your radio station and all the technical aspects connected with it;
• You will learn how to do PR and promote your radio station;
• You will learn the details of registering your mass media entity & obtaining licenses to operate from local authorities.

07. Distant/webinar education
Course duration is 2 months
Classes are held twice a week, 2-hour classes

The International School of Radio conducts courses in 85 cities; we may not operate in your city, but this does not mean you have to give up your dream to become a radio host.

We invite you to become a distant/webinar student. All you need is a computer or a notebook, Internet, Skype, or Oovoo (messaging service). Classes are taught by teachers from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kiev, Riga, London and Nice. Also, we will direct you to a local production studio for your final demo recording; a Moscow sound producer will assist and edit your final material.

During this class:

• You will learn the skills of the line DJ for different formats;
• You will learn the skills of a show host;
• You will know how to create signature program or theme;
• You will practice script writing and reading of commercials;
• You will learn the skills of an interviewer;
• You will learn the profession of a news host;
• You will record 4 professional studio demos.

08. Club DJ
The Course lasts for 2 months
Classes are held twice a week, 2-hour each

Becoming a fashionable DJ in a popular night club is a dream of many. Providing the education for those who wish to become a club DJ is not the only goal of the International School of Radio. Not only do you received education, your will create your own edited 1-hour mix (placed on specialized sites) and, most importantly, broadcasting time on one of the dance stations. This is the best PR in this profession!

During this course:

• You will learn to work with turntables and digital DJ mixing programs, e.g., Tractor and Ableton;
• You will study basic music composition (rhythm, timing, minor, major, steady beat, etc.);
• You will record compilations;
• You will know how to create a successful broadcasting image;
• You will learn skills to promote your own mixes and services;
• You will learn skills necessary to create play lists.

And last but not least:

• Master classes from star DJs;
• Internships in night clubs.

09. Graduate Education
*only for qualified radio hosts and those involved in media industry
